Core Text

Core Text
English of Core Text: Rabbi Elazar said: Even though “that it was good” was not said on the second day of the week, He later included it on the sixth, as it is said “And God saw all that He had made, and behold it was very good.”
On the daf / in context: The absence of “ki tov” on day two is remedied by the inclusive “tov me’od” of day six, which covers everything created.
Type of Learning: Custom (inclusive “tov me’od” covers day two)
What Is Learned: The “very good” of the sixth day includes and repairs the missing “good” of the second day.
