Core Textתַּנְיָא, אָדָם הָרִאשׁוֹן דָּמוֹ שֶׁל עוֹלָם, שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר וְאֵד יַעֲלֶה מִן הָאָרֶץ, וּגְרָמָה לוֹ חַוָּה מִיתָה, לְפִיכָךְ מָסְרוּ מִצְוַת נִדָּה לָאִשָּׁה.
English of Core Text: It was taught: Adam the first man is the blood of the world, as it is said “And a mist (ed) went up from the earth,” and Chavah caused death to him; therefore they transmitted the mitzvah of niddah to the woman.
