Core Text

Core Text
English of Core Text: Rava said: A child of Noach who has relations with his fellow’s wife in an unnatural manner is exempt, as it is written “and he shall cleave to his wife” — to his wife and not to his fellow’s wife; “and he shall cleave” — and not in an unnatural manner.
On the daf / in context: The exemption for unnatural relations with another’s wife (for Benei Noach) is derived from the precise wording of “davak.”
Type of Learning: Custom (scope of Noachide adultery prohibition)
What Is Learned: Unnatural relations with another’s wife do not incur the Noachide capital liability derived from this verse.
