Core Text
English of Core Text: The Sages taught: The generation of the Flood has no share in the world to come and does not stand in judgment, as it is said “My spirit shall not contend (yadon)” — neither judgment (din) nor spirit (ruach).
On the daf / in context: The doubled negation of “yadon” is taken to exclude both judicial standing and the return of the soul.
Type of Learning: Custom (Flood generation barred from the next world)
What Is Learned: The generation of the Flood has neither judgment nor spirit in the world to come.
