Core Textאָמַר רַבִּי יוֹחָנָן: דּוֹר הַמַּבּוּל בְּרַבָּה קִלְקְלוּ, שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר כִּי רַבָּה רָעַת הָאָדָם, וּבְרַבָּה נִדּוֹנוּ, שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר נִבְקְעוּ כׇּל מַעְיְנוֹת תְּהוֹם רַבָּה.
English of Core Text: Rabbi Yochanan said: The generation of the Flood corrupted with “much” (rabbah), as it is said “for the evil of man was much,” and with “much” they were judged, as it is said “all the fountains of the great deep (tehom rabbah) were split open.”
