וַיְשַׁלַּ֥ח אֶת־הַיּוֹנָ֖ה מֵאִתּ֑וֹ לִרְאוֹת֙ הֲקַ֣לּוּ הַמַּ֔יִם מֵעַ֖ל פְּנֵ֥י הָֽאֲדָמָֽה׃

Then he sent out the dove from him to see whether the waters had decreased from the surface of the ground.

הַיּוֹנָה מֵאִתּוֹ — אָמַר רַבִּי יִרְמְיָה: מִכָּאן שֶׁדִּירָתָן שֶׁל עוֹפוֹת טְהוֹרִים [הִיא] עִם הַצַּדִּיקִים.

English: “The dove from him” — R’ Yirmiyah said: From here [we learn] that the dwelling of pure birds is with the righteous.

On the daf / in context: The phrase “me-itto” (from with him) indicates that the dove had been sharing Noach’s own space on the upper deck, consistent with pure birds dwelling alongside the righteous.
