TT #58 · Parashas Noach · Fifth Aliyah · Passuk 9:20
Noach, the man of the soil, began and planted a vineyard.
Torah Temimah points to the rebuke that Noach should have learned from Adam (Sanhedrin 70a).

English: “Man of the soil” — What is “man of the soil”? The Holy One, blessed be He, said to Noach: “Noach, should you not have learned from Adam the first, whom only wine caused [to fall]?”
Custom (rebuke that Noach failed to learn from Adam’s experience with the vine).
Noach is faulted for not taking warning from Adam, whose downfall was likewise connected with wine (the tree of knowledge as a vine, per one view).
