Core Text

English: “And Hashem scattered them” — The generation of the Dispersion has no share in the World to Come, as it is said “Hashem scattered them from there”… and it is written “and from there Hashem scattered them” — one scattering in this world, and one for the World to Come.

Type of Learning

Custom (exclusion from the World to Come).

What Is Learned

The double language of scattering is read as two dispersions: one in this world and one that bars them from the World to Come.
