וְהִפְרֵתִ֤י אֹֽתְךָ֙ בִּמְאֹ֣ד מְאֹ֔ד וּנְתַתִּ֖יךָ לְגוֹיִ֑ם וּמְלָכִ֖ים מִמְּךָ֥ יֵצֵֽאוּ׃

I will make you exceedingly fertile, and make nations of you; and kings shall come forth from you.

Core Text

וּמְלָכִים מִמְּךָ יֵצֵאוּ — לֹא רַק שֹׁפְטִים וּנְשִׂיאִים, אֶלָּא מַלְכוּת מַמָּשׁ; וּבִכְלַל זֶה גַּם מַלְכֵי יְהוּדָה וְיִשְׂרָאֵל.

English: And kings shall come forth from you — not only judges and princes, but actual kingship; included are the kings of Judah and Israel.

On the daf / in context: Within the brit milah covenant, fertility language expands to political destiny: nations and kings. Classical readers see here the root of later Israelite monarchy as already promised at the circumcision covenant.
