Parashas Shemos
When Pharaoh learned of the matter, he sought to kill Moses; but Moses fled from Pharaoh. He arrivedbarrived Lit. “sat” or “settled.” in the land of Midian, and sat down beside a well.
Torah Temimah points to Midrash / TT on 2:15 (verified).
English: “And Moshe fled” — is it possible for flesh and blood to flee from the kingdom? Rather, when Pharaoh seized Moshe and sentenced him to behead him, the sword became blunt on Moshe’s neck.
Custom
Chazal teach that Moshe’s escape was accompanied by a miracle that dulled the sword raised against him.
