Parashas Vayikra · Aliyah 2 · Passuk 14
Chabad.org — English translation + Rashi
Torah Temima points to Kiddushin 24b (verified; min haof excludes major limb defects in birds).
English: It was taught: I might think that if its wing withered, its leg was severed, or its eye was gouged out, it is still fit for an offering? The Torah states “from the fowl” — and not every fowl.
R’ Eliezer #2 (מיעוט) — min excludes birds with major limb/organ defects even though tamim is not stated for birds.
Birds missing a major limb or organ are unfit for the altar, even though the full tamim requirement of animals does not apply to birds.
