וְ֠כָתַ֠ב אֶת־הָאָלֹ֥ת הָאֵ֛לֶּה הַכֹּהֵ֖ן בַּסֵּ֑פֶר וּמָחָ֖ה אֶל־מֵ֥י הַמָּרִֽים׃

The priest shall put these curses down in writing and rub it off into the water of bitterness.

English: “And he shall write these curses” — \ldots and dissolve them into the bitter water.

On the midrash / in context: The written Name is erased into the water; the midrash stresses the gravity of erasing the divine Name for the sake of peace between husband and wife.
