ואכלת ושבעת וברכת. תניא, אמר להם הקב"ה למלאכים, האיך לא אשא פנים לישראל שהרי כתבתי להם בתורה ואכלת ושבעת וברכת והם מדקדקים על עצמם עד כזית ועד כביצה מה שיש לבאר ולפרש בדרשה זו מבואר לפנינו בפ' נשא בפסוק ישא ה' פניו אליך, יעו"ש וצרף לכאן.
English: It was taught: The Holy One said to the angels: How shall I not show favor to Israel? I wrote for them in the Torah “you shall eat and be satisfied and bless,” and they are exacting with themselves down to an olive’s bulk and an egg’s bulk.
