English: It was taught: A woman is not obligated to teach herself Torah, for it is written “you shall teach / you shall learn.” Whoever others are commanded to teach is commanded to teach himself; whoever others are not commanded to teach is not commanded to teach himself. The second “you shall learn” is in Vaeschanan regarding one’s own study; a woman is not among those whom others are commanded to teach, as explained in the next unit.
