English: “I have not consumed any of it in a state of impurity” — whether I was impure and the maaser pure, or I was pure and the maaser impure.

In context: The next clause of the confession (26:14) is prepared here in the Sifrei’s reading of the careful handling of sacred produce.

Type of Learning

Custom (scope of the impurity restriction).

What Is Learned

Sacred produce was not eaten in a state of tumah, in either direction of impurity.
