Learning

Derasha HaShavua - the current, live project.

Every derasha of Chazal that the Torah Temima cites on the weekly parsha. Only the source reference is taken from Torah Temima; the core words and the learning are those of Chazal. The primary audience is a Bas Mitzvah student (or any learner) who wants to extract every drop of Talmudic insight from the pesukim of the week. Navigable as a doubly linked list (PREV / NEXT) across the weekly parshiyos. Entry is by parsha overview.

Drasha HaShavua (original)

The original DrashasHaShavua was a project offering a multi-year cycle of Gemara learning designed for someone familiar with Chumash but not yet deeply familiar with Gemara. It utilized the Torah Temima's citations to explain each derasha in the Gemara that has a connection with the pesukim of the current Parsha HaShavua.

That earlier endeavor hoped to hire scholars to demonstrate how each derasha cited by the Torah Temimah on Chumash was learned on its own (for example in the style of Daf Yomi). A few examples were prepared. Efforts were later directed toward improving DafBoard and bringing the Essential Torah Temimah back into print. The original archive is not fully recovered; the live Derasha HaShavua project above continues and expands the same underlying purpose with a complete static HTML presentation.
