English: “And he shall slaughter” — [the Torah] placed slaughter next to leaning, to teach you that immediately after leaning comes slaughter, and in the place where they lean, there they slaughter.

Slaughter follows leaning without delay, and is performed in the same place (the north of the courtyard) where the hands were leaned.
