Core Text
קרבנו – קרבנו ולא הגזול

English: “His offering” – his own offering, and not a stolen one (even after the owners have despaired of recovery).

Type of Learning

Restriction that protects the integrity of every gift brought to the altar — stolen or improperly acquired animals are barred.

What Is Learned

Only an offering that is honestly acquired is accepted; this guards the holiness of the Mikdash and reminds us that true closeness to Hashem begins with honest dealings among people.
