וְאִם־זֶ֥בַח שְׁלָמִ֖ים קָרְבָּנ֑וֹ אִ֤ם מִן־הַבָּקָר֙ ה֣וּא מַקְרִ֔יב אִם־זָכָר֙ אִם־נְקֵבָ֔ה תָּמִ֖ים יַקְרִיבֶ֥נּוּ לִפְנֵ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃

Core Text
וְאִם־זֶבַח שְׁלָמִים קָרְבָּנוֹ — מִכָּאן דְּבָעֵינַן זְבִיחָה לְשֵׁם שְׁלָמִים.
English: “And if a peace-offering slaughter is his offering” — from here [we learn] that we require the slaughter to be for the sake of shelamim.
On the daf / in context: Opening sugya of Zevachim: shechitah must be performed with the correct intent for that type of korban. The pairing zevach shelamim supplies the source for shelamim; parallel phrases do the same for other categories.
