זֶבַח שְׁלָמִים קָרְבָּנוֹ — רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן אוֹמֵר: הָאוֹנֵן אֵינוֹ מְשַׁלֵּחַ קָרְבְּנוֹתָיו… כָּל קָרְבָּנוֹת שֶׁהוּא מֵבִיא כְּשֶׁהוּא שָׁלֵם הוּא מֵבִיא, וְאֵינוֹ מֵבִיא כְּשֶׁהוּא אוֹנֵן.
English: “A peace-offering slaughter is his offering” — R’ Shimon says: an onein does not send his offerings… all offerings that he brings, he brings when he is whole, and he does not bring when he is an onein.
On the daf / in context: Asmachta for the rabbinic rule that a mourner before burial does not send korbanos. “His offering” while “whole” excludes the anguished onein. The baraisa extends the idea beyond shelamim to other categories.
