וברכת את ה'. מלמד שגם ההקדש צריך ברכה בגמרא באה דרשה זו לענין החקירה כשממשכנין לאדם עבור חובותיו להקדש אם צריך להחזיר העבוט כמו בהדיוט, ומשני דכיון דכתיב בהחזרת עבוט ושכב בשלמתו וברכך, וזה שייך רק בהדיוט ולא בהקדש, ופריך ולמה לא, כלומר, ולמה א"צ הקדש ברכה והכתיב ואכלת ושבעת וברכת את ה', ומשני דאין מחזירין מטעם אחר. ונראה ענין הברכה בהקדש והלמוד מפ' זה, דהא בהקב"ה בעצמו בודאי לא שייך שהוא צריך לברכות והודאת בו"ד כי מה יתן ומה יוסיף לו כאלה, ובכ"ז צוה שיברכנו האדם, ואולי הטעם בזה להורות ד"א לבני אדם, ועכ"פ אנו רואים שרצון ה' בזה ושייך בו ברכה, וא"כ ממילא שייך בהקדש ברכה ושייך הלשון וברכת.
English: “And you shall bless Hashem” — this teaches that even hekdesh (consecrated property) “requires” blessing. The Gemara raises the point in the context of returning a pledge: ordinary creditors must return a night-garment so the debtor can bless; does hekdesh? The verse shows that blessing is directed to Hashem — and if God commanded that we bless Him, the language of blessing applies in the realm of hekdesh as well.
