וְנָתַתִּ֧י מְטַֽר־אַרְצְכֶ֛ם בְּעִתּ֖וֹ יוֹרֶ֣ה וּמַלְק֑וֹשׁ וְאָסַפְתָּ֣ דְגָנֶ֔ךָ וְתִירֹֽשְׁךָ֖ וְיִצְהָרֶֽךָ׃

IeI That is, GOD; Samaritan reads in the 3rd person. will grant the rain for your land in season, the early rain and the late. You shall gather in your new grain and wine and oil—

ואספת דגנך. תניא, א"ר יונה, התמידין הן קרבנותיהם של כל ישראל, ואם יהיו כל ישראל יושבין ובטלין, והא כתיב ואספת דגנך, ומי אוסף להם את הדגן, לפיכך התקינו נביאים הראשונים מעמדות [ירושלמי תענית פ"ד ה"ב]

English: It was taught: R’ Yonah said: The daily offerings are the sacrifices of all Israel. If all Israel sat idle — but it is written “you shall gather your grain,” and who would gather their grain? Therefore the early prophets instituted the ma’amadot (representative stands of Israelites at the Temple service).
