Core Textתָּנֵי, בֵּית הִלֵּל אוֹסְרִים: לֹא יִבָּטֵל אָדָם מִפְּרִיָּה וּרְבִיָּה אֶלָּא אִם כֵּן יֵשׁ לוֹ בָּנִים זָכָר וּנְקֵבָה, שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר זָכָר וּנְקֵבָה בְּרָאָם.
English of Core Text: It was taught: Beis Hillel forbid [ceasing]: A man may not desist from procreation unless he has children, a male and a female, as it is said “male and female He created them.”
