English: “Break it into pieces” — break it into pieces, but do not break the pieces into crumbs.
Ribbui u-mi’ut from otosah pitim — “it” into pieces, not the pieces further into crumbs.
The griddle minchah is broken into olive-sized pieces (ke-zayis). One does not continue breaking until only crumbs remain.
