English: “And you shall pour oil upon it” — upon it, to exclude an oven-baked meal-offering.
Mi’ut from aleha — the pronoun limits the pouring requirement to this type of minchah.
After the pieces are broken, oil is poured on the griddle minchah. Oven-baked menachot (ma’afeh tanur) do not receive this final pouring in the same way.
