וְלֹא־תָבִ֤יא תֽוֹעֵבָה֙ אֶל־בֵּיתֶ֔ךָ וְהָיִ֥יתָ חֵ֖רֶם כָּמֹ֑הוּ שַׁקֵּ֧ץ ׀ תְּשַׁקְּצֶ֛נּוּ וְתַעֵ֥ב ׀ תְּֽתַעֲבֶ֖נּוּ כִּי־חֵ֥רֶם הֽוּא׃ {פ}

You must not bring an abhorrent thing into your house, or you will be proscribed like it; you must reject it as abominable and abhorrent, for it is proscribed.

ולא תביא תועבה. המבשל בעצי אשרה לוקה משום ולא תביא תועבה אל ביתך ומתבאר בגמרא דלוקה גם משום ולא ידבק בידך מאומה מן החרם (פ' ראה).

English: One who cooks with wood of an asherah is liable to lashes because of “You shall not bring an abomination into your house” (and also because of “nothing of the banned property shall cling to your hand” in Re’eh).
