English: “On that day” — this teaches that on that very day they were commanded concerning the blessings and the curses, and that hearing and doing are the condition for entering the covenant.
Note on overlap: Sotah 37a–b develops the tribal standing and the Amen responses at length on the main ring (27:12ff). The same sugya also rests on the charge given in 27:10–11; therefore it is listed here as an Extra derasha for these passukim even though related material appears later in the main ring.
